This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro into the Catholic school made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. The document lists Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen, born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, and shows his Muslim step-father listed the boy's religion as Islam.(AP Photo/ Tatan Syuflana)
Verification:
A quick search through Google reveals that there is an actual Associated Press photographer by the name Tatan Syuflana. It appears that this photographer specializes in the Indonesian region of the world. The above photo which is hosted on Daylife.com was uploaded about 18 months ago. The upload timeframe would have been around February 14, 2007 about 2 or so weeks after the document was released according to the photo caption from Daylife.com that states that the document was made available on January 24, 2007.
The date of January 24, 2007 was about the time that FOX news incorrectly reported that the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta was a madrassa. The school itself is NOT in question. What IS in question is Barack Obama's identity, whether or not his name is legally 'Barry Soetoro'; whether or not if he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, whether or not if he retains Indonesian citizenship as indicated in the information below among other questions.
Samples of Tatan Syuflan's work appears in common news websites such as CBS, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Time magazine. What is still mysterious is that the photo of the registration document appears to be scrubbed. In depth research finds that any site related to the Associated Press does not feature it on their site. If it did, it appeared briefly. The actual document itself is eluded to in various articles, find out more below.

There has been third party verification by one of the bloggers at No Quarter into whether or not the above image is legitimate and the outcome is that the Associated Press has confirmed the image as one of their own.

Reasons for censorship?
The Associated Press and the rest of the mainstream media probably had this photo of the registration document in their hands or databases but refused to touch it. After CNN published the facts that FOX incorrectly reported that the school was a madrassa, the entire issue of Barack Obama's name of 'Barry Soetoro' was side stepped. It was probably decided that this material or photo shouldn't be available to the general public. (The same idea was probably applied to any audio or visual media related to a separate issue concerning an interview between Barack Obama and Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times.) Therefore the image lay untouched and untranslated in the Daylife.com photo repository for 18 months. The photo that is available through Daylife is very blurry and several technical enhancements had to be made to view the actual document. In no way was any of the text, writing, or information changed or altered.

One of the main reasons that this may have never seen the light of day up until now was because of a Chicago Tribune article stating that it was bunk for these reasons:
The enrollment form from the Catholic school, which has been cited as evidence that Obama was a Muslim in Indonesia, also was rife with errors. It listed Obama as an Indonesian, listed his previous school incorrectly and failed to list his mother, Ann, at all.Well here are some questions that are needed for careful consideration.
What if Obama had been adopted by Lolo Soetoro, would he not have become an Indonesian citizen? (Lolo Soetoro probably had reason to consider him as his own son as the former father figure Obama Sr. was no where around, and Obama only met him once or twice in his lifetime.) Obama was known as Barry Soetoro (or simply Barry) for many years according to long term friends of his. Why didn't the Chicago Tribune provide a direct or concise translation of the document other then taking the assumption that the document held no water and threw it out the window? Did they take into consideration that Obama's mother Ann was not listed because one of the instructions on the document according to Line 8b may have confused the person writing down the information? Line 8b roughly states: "Name of the mother will only be used if father is deceased." (According to the accepted timeline of events Obama Sr. died in the early 80s, Obama Jr. was enrolled in this school in 1968.)

The best kept information is that which is hidden in plain site. Nicholas Kristof, an opinion columnist for the New York Times interviewed Obama nearly a year ago. During which, Kristof noted that Obama not only recalled but recited a Muslim call to prayer.

It was in 1968 when Barack Obama joined her class, and she likes the idea that he soon might become the world's most powerful person.
