LOST: The Beginning of the End - Season 4 Episode 1
The episode starts off with a vintage early 70s camaro in a high speed chase. One of the images from a season preview is confirmed. It turns out that the car crashes into some yellow gourds.
Jack is watching a newscast, the high speed chase has lasted for about half an hour and Jeff the male reporter states that the high speed chase began in the Le Brea area. As he is watching the news cast he's having himself an early morning drink.
[Cool but probably useless info? The crash scene didn't actually take place in the Los Angeles vicinity. The actual set footage was more then likely filmed in Honolulu, HI. The chase may have been shot on a nearby Highway, and going unto King Street. See the below still frames. The green arrow matches the building on the Google Map, and the blue arrow matches the Excellent Motor Group seen in the background where you can see spectators watching this (Other notable landmarks is a place called Circuit House). The yellow arrow indicates the fenced area where Hurley eventually was caught.]
Once the car is stopped, we see Hurley coming out. He yells: "Im one of the Oceanic 6".
Jack, Kate, Hurley we can confirm are 3 of the Oceanic 6.
The high speed chase began because Hurley sees someone in the convienience store. Could it be his imaginary friend? At the police station, Hurley speaks with Ana Lucia's partner. He says: "I knew someone on the plane. Her name was Ana Lucia. Dark hair..gorgeous." He then asks if Hurley knew her.
Hurley says he never met her even though he did.
Hurley then sees a vision through a glass panel in an interrogation room. It appears to be Charlie smacking his hand in the window while the background is flooded with water. This is the Season's first freeze frame. The writing on Charlie's hand reads: THEY NEED YOU. Compare this to the original writing on Charlie's hand as: NOT PENNY'S BOAT.
Back on the Island scene, Hurley talks about that he has always walked up and down the beach but has never done a cannon ball. This is now his chance. He does a cannon ball. This also confirms another season 4 preview shot.
As the story progresses we find out that Naomi has "risen" from the dead and her body has disappeared.
In another scene at the Santa Rosa mental facility we find Hurley playing a board game. As Hurley is staring at the game, he notices a businessman sitting in a corner. It turns out that he's an Oceanic Air lawyer. He says his name is Matthew. Matthew extends an invitation for an upgrade, to a facility where the paint isn't peeling off the walls. Hurley asks for his business card but he doesn't have one. Hurley then calls out for a nurse. When he looks back the lawyer is no longer there.
As the episode progresses, we find that Kate is out in the woods and answers the satellite phone. Blood drips down on her arm.
Naomi then drops down from a tree. Naomi takes the phone. She says: George - It is Naomi. I had an accident, I'm hurt. Originally Jack had told them that she had gone out looking for firewood, but she then tells them that she had hit a tree branch in an accident. Naomi changes the tracking signal. Tell my sister I love her. She then appears to die. This confirms another Season 4 photo clip.
The episode then goes back to focus on Hurley who is also out in the woods by Jacobs cabin. He stares inside.
An eye looks back at him. Hurley thinks he is crazy and says that there is nothing here. He falls over. He looks up it is John Locke. This confirms another Season 4 photo clip.
Hurley agrees with Locke that Jack should have never called those people from the satellite phone.
The group meets up at the flight 815 wreckage.
Hurley breaks the news that Charlie is dead to Claire.
Progressing back to the future at the Santa Rosa facility. Hurley draws eskimo and an igloo. And another patient at the Santa Rosas clinic tells him that there is a man that has been staring him. Don't do what you did in the store. There is no need to freak out. You are dead what do you expect me do to. Charlie says that "I am dead, but I am also here". Charlie says you know they need you. This confirms another Season 4 photo shot.
As the episode reverts back to the Island, Jack seens Locke with the group and goes for his gun and punches him. He gets the gun and aims it for Locke's face. Locke tells Jack that the gun was never loaded.
The group is then divided, Hurley, Claire and the baby, Ben, Sawyer, and some of the others from 815 walk off to the barracks. It begins to rain.
In the end scene Jack comes to visit Hurley. Jack has just come back from the console doing surgical stuff. Jack says that he is thinking about growing a beard. Hurley asks Jack what he is really doing there visiting him. He says that he was just visiting and seeing that he was ok.
Jack asks Hurley if "he was going to tell". What exactly was he going to tell to anyone?? Hurley says sorry that he went with Locke. That he should staed with Jack. Jack says its water under the bridge. Hurley says "it" wants them to go back. Is "it" the Island? Jack walks out. Hurley tells him, "never say never dude."
As the episode goes back to the Island, Jack and Kate are talking in the rain asking how this had happened. Kate tells Jack that the thunder is getting louder.
Jack tells her that it isn't thunder. A helicopter hovers around them. They run. The dramatic music plays. They run into the forest. A person has just parachuted from the Helicopter. The person asks: "Are you Jack?"
The episode ends.
Is this person George Makowski who Jack originally called on the satellite phone?? We'll just have to wait till next week.

LOST: Through the Looking Glass
According to TV Guide:
The castaways draw first blood in their battle with the Others while Charlie is being held in the Looking Glass hatch. Meanwhile, Ben strides off to confront Jack and Co. as they make their way to the radio tower.
"This island is under assault from forces stronger than anything it has had to deal with in many years," Ben tells Mikhail. "And we are meant to protect it by any means necessary." Scenes set in Los Angeles follow Jack.
One item of note is that ABC will show commentary captions as the air shows.
This two hour repeat makes a nice reminder for anyone who has missed the LOST series since it last showed last year. Tommorrows show will be a breath of fresh air and will gear LOST fans to wonder...what happens next.

Chapter 5 continues...
On Sam Thomas computer we find new information.
On his browser we find this information from www.oceanforecasts.com
Currently the site is being parked by Go Daddy and doesn't appear to be set up. It also seems that the site is registered to a possible LOST fan.
Here is the information though.

Other e-mails note a response back from Isaac Chapman at Austral Air advising Sam Thomas that there is a position available at their company, to which Sam Thomas declines.
Sam Thomas recieves a call from Tracey saying that there are people back home and will be there to support him.

This is a guide to help you out. The middle green dot is where you are at. Ignore the blinking green light at the circumference of the circle. The light green areas are part of the reef. The dark black areas are the navigatable areas that you need to stay on.
Helpful hint: Imagine the vertical line as the "North" direction that you would see on a compass. This vertical line will help direct you. Use the left and right arrows on your keyboard to navigate around. The top arrow speeds up your trip but I wouldn't reccomend it unless you've already familiarized yourself with the game.
It may take you a while to get familiar with the chart. Keep in mind at the end there is a very sharp right that you have to take to find your destinations(Note: It'll take a few runs to get used to it).

The following is a small excerpt from pages 34 through 35 of M.K. Jessup's book "The Case of the UFO" (Note - the book relates to the Philadelphia Expirement). It makes for a really interesting read.
"Suppose that some intelligent entity was directing a concentration of potential which could make small volumes of rarefied air rigid, could set up a sort of island in the gravitational or magnetic field, moving the island about as the spot of a searchlight is moved on thin clouds.
Such a thing would be invisible, would have many of the physical attributes of a solid body, but very small mass.
For example, its movement through the air would be wavelike, and would not envolve translation of the medium any more than the spot of the searchlight would require movement of the cloud which enabled the beam to attain visibility.
In moving, this island would simply "freeze" on the advancing edge and "thaw" on the trailing edge. In this way it could have almost infinite velocity, and also acceleration, just as the spot of the searchlight.
In this manner it would appear to be free of mass, and actually it would be free of mass, because only the force beam would move, not the air. Yet in resisting the impingement of a bird, a plane, or perhaps a meteor, it would have mass, and a very destructive mass at that.
A pilot flying a plane into such a body would have no warning. Yet if such a thing were a few hundred yards in diameter, its mass in resisting the plane would be thousands of pounds, perhaps tons. The analogy to a ship hitting an iceberg would be very close."

The end of Chapter 4.
In the last video of Chapter 4 we find Sam Thomas...He says that he cannot pin Talbot down. He checked out the coordinates and they were within the search group. He doesn't know whether the Maxwell Group is playing mindgames with him because in he last e-mail he decrypted it read "Love you madly" which was a catch phrase Sam and Sonya always used.

Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino catches Fire and gets Extinguished
The Monte Carlo hotel and casino earlier today caught fire. The fire broke out on the upper floors and roof of the casino. It started at about noontime in the west wing of the hotel and spread to the south wing.
The fire at west wing of the hotel has now been contained. The fire at the south wing is in the process of being contained.
Portions of the hotel facade burned and fell off the hotel. The good news is that there are no injuries to report.
The fire department is not sure what exactly caused the fire, but there were welders on top of the roof. Part of the Vegas Strip has been closed off. A press conference is scheduled to air soon.

Sam Thomas is outside and observing the Ocean, all of a sudden he sees an Aurora in the far distance. He grabs his binoculars to take a look.

Navigate to the second room. You'll find the first two clues in and near the bookshelf. Navigate to the picture fram on the bookshelf. This clue is from Season 1 - Vincent the dog.
Navigate to the picture frame above the the right of the bookshelf. This clue is from Season 3 - The Parachute.
Navigate over to the third room. You'll notice a big bowl on the table. Click within the bowl. This clue is from Season 2 - The Swan.
Next go back to the original room, and click above the medecine cabinent. There is a pill bottle above that. This now leads you to the ABC partner site to get your Season 4 clue.

LOST: Season 4 Preview - 32 Photo Clips and 2 Videos
In the first opening we see the date of September 22, 2004. Within the actual you can barely make out faces, that or it could be smoke, or nothing at all.
In the second image we see the passengers that boarded Oceanic Flight 815 when the TV series originally began.
In the next image we see someone in some flight gear. This could be Naomi who made an appearance at the end of the third season.
In the next image is a male who appears to be listening to something or tending to a possible head wound.
In the next image we see Jack and what appears to be Kate staring up at the camera, while a light shines down on them as if they were found by a helicopter. Both characters are at the scene of some Oceanic flight wreckage.
In the next image we find a male looking into a broken window pane, shining a flash light.
In the next image we find an older male who is in a business suite and stares blankly to the left.
In the next image we find Ben one of the Others, being attacked by what looks to be Sawyer?
In the next image we find an underwater scene where it looks like someone is drowning. Possibly Charlie? But if you take another look it looks like someone is also pulling another person up from the water.
In the next image we find a controller with three red buttons that have either been short circuited either by a power surge, or done purposely by someone else.

In the next image we find Sawyer choking Ben while everyone else watches.
In the next photo we find Hurley looking into a broken window pane. Could be the same person that had looked into the window pane in an earlier photo? (See above).In the next photo we have a wide eye looking at us. It appears to be either Locke or possibly Michel (Patchy)?
In the next image we find a pile of what appears to be yellow gourds or possibly odd shaped coconuts.In the next image we find those same pile of gourds exploding.
In the next image we find a clue to the Hydra station.
In the next image we find Hurley under water holding his breathe. Is he pulling someone up or is he going down after someone?
In the next image we find someone being stabbed in the back. This appears to be Naomi.
In the next image we find a skull of a carnivorous animal. A google search renders this to be a skull of a bear, possibly of one of the polar bears that was seen on the island. You can view secondary photos of a polar bear skull model here. This could be the site where they bought the actual prop for the episode?
In the next image we find an arm that appears to be bleeding.
In the next image we find out that it looks like blood is dripping down on this person arm from something above them.
In the next image we find Kate looking up at to whatever is the source of this dripping blood.
In the next image we find a reddish looking cow looking at the character that is staring at it. We found out in an earlier season that the others do herd cattle. Juliet had made a burger for Jack and told him about she had to do everything from hand.
In this show we find a character surrounded by a bright light.
In this next image we find that same character but it looks like they are either asleep or had fallen over. This also somewhat looks like Sam Thomas? You can notice that the person is wearing headphones or something similar to that.
In this next image we find a obvious number 6. From what we have learned from LOST is that the creators purposely "stare" or focus in on scenes that have meaningful meaning to what will happen in the future.
In this next image we find that same character and it seems that they are still slumped over while it storms.
In this next image we find Charlie talking to Hurley. Does Charlie pull a Lazerus and rise from the dead? Or is this a flashback to some other time. On the last episode of Season 3, it appeaed the flashes that characters had were put into the future.
In this next image we find an inverted image of Charlie.
In this next image we find the LOST logo, and in the water what appears to be a city. Rumors have been floating around that this could possibly be either Los Angeles or possibly New York City.
This next image was from an alternate video. It verifies that blood was dripping unto Kate's arm from above. But we do not know what exactly is bleeding that causes her to look up.
On the last image we find a helicopter flying away from the Island. Could this verify the number "6" that we saw in an earlier video? Usually helicopters don't have don't much space to hold passengers. They can hold anywhere between 2 to up 20 passengers for "normal" sized helicopters up to maybe 50 for something larger. Chapter 4 continues...
Sam Thomas' gets new e-mails and gets a phone call from Randy's office.
Richard mentions that Randy asked him to call Sam, and mentioned that Sam has come into money after investing in a box company that had burnt down.
In Sam Thomas' inbox we find a new message that has a lot of letters and numbers. If you take the time and effort, you reach the end result as: "Love you Madly".
Another e-mail in his inbox we find that Tracey has called Sam Thomas' mother.
In Sam Thomas' sentbox we find that he e-mailed Tracey that he was "not going to follow up on" on the e-mail message sent earlier about him needing a holiday. This holiday information was what led LOST fans to the Bali Holiday where you could find an gmail e-mail address, that would lead you to a steganographic Stegosaurus image, that would lead you to crack it and end up finding that it is about a Walt Whitman poem.
The other e-mail that appears leads us to know that Sam is in an area where he cannot get good phone reception and hence has not been able to call anyone. His mother had been paranoid for the past couple days/weeks.
How to Fix the "Mass Storage Controller" / SD Card not reading error

So I had a problem with my SD card not being read by my computer and in the Device Manger area of my computer it said I had a problem with a "Mass Storage Controller".
Here's how I went about fixing it (I'm using Windows Vista). It may or may not work for you. I suggest that you read the article before starting anything, and before anything make sure you are comfortable with what you are about to do. (I spent about an hour trying to find suitable information on the internet that left me in circles without a answer or a process this is what worked for me).
If you are already in the Device Manager area of your computer, you can proceed to step 3, if you have no idea what I'm talking about start at step 1.
First step: Click START on your computer,
A. If your using Classic View navigate to the Control Panel, and navigate to Device Manager. Skip to the Second Step
B. If your using Control Panel Home view navigate to System and Maintance, and navigate to Device Manager (click continue if a box pops up).
Second Step: The Device Manager will immediately drop down to where it shows that you need to get a "Mass Media Controller" driver.
Third Step: Right click and click Update Driver Software. If you haven't first attempted to "Search Automatically for updated Software" click that first. If that doesn't work proceed to step four.
(UPDATED Feb. 15, 2008: As an added suggestion, you can visit your computer's manufacturer website direct, for instance http://support.gateway.com or http://support.yourcomputermanufacturernamehere.com, on their site you can go to the driver download section, look for the media card driver area. Save this file to your desktop and run it, after you've done that you can continue from here.)
Fourth Step: Click Start, Click Search, copy and paste this in: tiinst
This will search for the Texas Instruments file we are looking for. You should get a result as follows if you click the address bar in the end result (it might even work if you just copy this as a whole it just may depend on your computer):

Fifth Step: Repeat the First and Second Steps which is:
Click START on your computer,
A. If your using Classic View: navigate to the Control Panel, and navigate to Device Manager. Skip to the Second Step
B. If your using Control Panel Home view: navigate to System and Maintance, and navigate to Device Manager (click continue if a box pops up).
Second Step: The Device Manager will immediately drop down to where it shows that you need to get a "Mass Media Controller" driver. Click Update Driver Software.
This time though, Click "Browse my Computer for Driver Software", this is where you get to paste in the location for that tiinst file location.

Then click next, it should then install the driver.
After that installs, go ahead and pop in your SD card, it should now work.

Republican Fred Thompson is the lastest candidate out of the Presidential Race. He was late to come into the race, and late to get out. He had expected to do well in South Carolina last week, but was twarted by Republicans John McCain and Mike Huckabee.

Now for Part 1 of Chapter 4
Its nightime on the Christiane I, Sam Thomas looks at a scrap of paper with the coordinates:
-11.1784 (latitude), 112.2363 (longitude).
He continues steering. The captain Ockhalm walks out of the Bridge. Sam Thomas quickly makes his move and unplugs a display wire.
The captain walks back in. Sam Thomas asks if everything is ok. The captain walks back out. Sam Thomas plugs the cord back in. Sam Thomas makes his move and goes to the Junos computer system and types in a password.
Chapter 4 Clue Hunt: The Chart Plotter game.
It is 8:15PM (nice huh?), Sam Thomas activates a program that uses a metrix.exe file. The file lets him crack the system to figure out which characters he needs to use to get in.
The password is is a combination of 5 unique letters and numbers. No letter or number is repeated.
Red dot = correct choice and position
White dot = correct choice but incorrect position
Black Dot = incorrect choice and position.

LOST: Strange Glyphs found in Sam Thomas' Video Diary
Everybody that is a LOST fan should remember the red and black glyphs that appear on the right.
But wait...there's more??
While combing over Sam Thomas' third video diary I came across two more interesting photos, aside from the infamous braille clue that remains to be deciphered. They appear to be ancient glyphs, but in due respect, they also look like "future" glyphs (perhaps I'm looking way into it).
The first glyph looks like a glyph seen on Stargate SG-1. The glyph I used was found on a Stargate fanpage, and was listed as Crater. The one in the picture is inverted and lacks part of the glyph. At a second glance, it also looks like the first red glyph from the above photo that looks like a bird (if it were mirrored).
The second glyph looks like a glyph that you probably could find in ancient Egypt, or that could probably find in a Incan or Mayan temple. What struck me as eerie was that in the glyph resembled a sphynx like woman, but also reminded me of one of the glyphs from the move The Time Machine (originally written by H.G. Wells). The one in the video diary looks more anguished or evil looking compared to the stoic Egyptian glyph shown below.

Republican Duncan Hunter dropped out of the race today.
“Today we end this campaign,” said Hunter, according to an advance copy of his remarks he was scheduled to deliver later in the evening.
The California Republican, an outspoken proponent of cracking down on illegal immigration, did poorly in the Nevada GOP caucuses held earlier in the day.
“The Nevada caucuses reflecting only 2 percent of the vote for me,” he said. “I ran the campaign exactly the way I wanted to, and at this point not being able to gain traction in conservative states of Nevada and South Carolina, it's time to allow our volunteers and supporters to focus on the campaigns that remain viable.”

Chapter 3 continues...
On the newly released video diary, Sam Thomas, explains whats going on and that he has deciphered that a previous e-mail message was a latitude longitude fix on a map.
Within the actual video diary is a blip of braille.
What it might be: udxihadfji which is the same as u4x9814609.
If you use Braille AOE (Astigmatic One Eye) it might be: Xdxihadfji which is the same as X4x9814609. Dafont.com is a useful tool to type in a message, and output a message in Braille AOE.
What it could be: ehdfajexfa which is the same as 5846105x6a.
If you use Braille AOE (Astigmatic One Eye) it might be: ehdfajexfV which is the same as 5846105x6V . (Possible anagram: Had vex Jeff?)

The braille works out in each "dimension" because if lets say a braille user for instance drops a book and it is upside down, they will immediately know that it is upside because the majority of the text will be symbols etc. Or vice versa.

LOST - New Spoilers - Chapter 3 - The Bridge and the Wild Goose Chase
Now for Part 2 of Chapter 3:
At the beginning of the new intro video, we now see Sam Thomas looking to the great beyond on the top of the boat, as he listens to some crazy sounds coming from within the ship. He goes to check the Bridge room.
And then the video switches over to a flash page where a lot of lights are blinking and strange noises are coming from everywhere.

The noises quit. The lights then come on.
